Today we honor Juneteenth — not just as a historical event, but as a sacred reminder that freedom is worth the fight, and truth is always worth telling.
On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached Galveston, Texas — two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
That delay is painful.
But it reminds us: delayed freedom is still freedom worth celebrating.
And as believers, we know another truth:
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” — Galatians 5:1
So we remember.
We reflect.
We rejoice.
And we continue the work — of breaking chains, healing generations, and walking boldly in the freedom Christ offers.
🕊️ Whether you’re celebrating with your community, learning more, or simply taking a moment to pause — today is sacred.
👉🏾 Freedom matters. Truth matters. You matter.👈🏾
